AARON PLESSINGER x KTM

Aaron Plessinger is an American motocross and supercross racer for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. Dubbed “the cowboy“ the mid-west native rocks his mullet and cowboy hat with a fun-loving personality making with a fan favorite on the starting line. I was tasked with creating a signature apparel drop featuring a t-shirt, hoodie and hat with graphics embodying Aaron’s vibrant persona that also caters to KTM’s Ready to Race brand promise.

inspiration & conception

This project began with researching and creating mood boards with a collection of vintage racing apparel and western movie posters with their instantly recognizable typography. These mood boards acted as inspiration when drafting various graphic options that really embody Aaron’s cowboy persona, fun-loving personality and passion for motocross as a whole.

t-shirt & hoodie

When graphic direction was approved, I began applying the graphic to a collection of various t-shirt and hoodie colors for visualization purposes. A select range of these garments were chosen for final output, that were then tech packed as needed and sent out for production.
